Welcome to the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University, where many of our nation's top leaders got their start. Our students graduate with multiple job offers and go on to successful careers worldwide in industry, academia, and a wide range of professions.
Some quick facts about our academic programs:
- All of our College's undergraduate engineering programs and our computer science program are accredited by ABET, Inc., the national accreditation agency for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology.
- Our master's degree programs in Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health and Safety are accredited by the Applied Science Accreditation Commission (ASAC). Both ABET, Inc. and ASAC are recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
- We offer eleven undergraduate majors, plus several dual majors and many graduate degree programs.
- Our students participate in research and hands-on projects from their freshman year on.
- Our common freshman engineering curriculum allows you to become familiar with all
