Engineers of Tomorrow
Do you know an Engineer of Tomorrow? Help us recruit outstanding high school students: Please mark a program below and the college will contact you with further information.
WVU Engineering Mentors help identify and recruit promising students from their communities by visiting high schools in their communities, contacting guidance counselors and teachers, participating in Career Days in high schools, and writing to students and their parents about WVU.
WVU Summer Experience Program is designed to encourage minority and female students to participate in a science or engineering field by providing intensive instruction for 80 -100 students each summer in Morgantown. This weeklong camp is free to students, but we need your help to identify capable, interested future engineers.
TEAMS+S sponsored by JETS (Junior Engineering Technical Society) is a competition that promotes interest in engineering, science, mathematics, and technology, and is dedicated to providing real-world engineering and problem-solving experience to high school students. To be successful in preparing for competitions local JETS clubs need engineers to serve as their coaches.
MATHCOUNTS® is a national math enrichment competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement through grassroots involvement in every U.S. state and territory. Every middle school appreciates having an engineer coaching their students.
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an exciting, multinational robotics competition teaming professionals and young people to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. High school teams are always interested in having an engineer mentor their team.
