Making a Gift

You may designate your gift to any department or fund. In addition, one hundred percent of each gift goes directly to the fund designated by the donor. The full amount of the gift is used solely for the purpose you have specified. Furthermore, your gift is tax deductible, as allowed by law, during the calendar year in which your gift is made.

Gifts to CEMR can be made in the form of cash, securities or other options that can be discussed with the CEMR Development Office. Contributions may be designated to support College-wide efforts or a specific department or program within CEMR. The Development Office is happy to work with donors to tailor their gift to meet individual interests that can make a significant impact on students and faculty. Deferred gifts are also an excellent option for you to experience today the personal satisfaction of making a significant gift to the College in the future. At anytime, you may make a gift by check. Simply make your check payable to the WVU Foundation, place "CEMR" in the memo of your check, attach a letter stating the specific purpose of your contribution, and send to:
WVU Foundation One Waterfront Place PO Box 1650 Morgantown, WV 26506-1650

If you are interested in making a gift, please contact the development office at 293-4821, ext. 2240 or if you would like to give on-line, visit the WVU Foundation's web site at www.wvuf.org

Endowment Gifts

Endowment gifts provide lasting financial strength and quality for an institution. Managed through the West Virgniia University Foundation, Inc., gifts made to an endowment are invested to ensure that the fund supports its purpose into perpetuity. When fully funded the endowment would pay 4% during its initial year and would grow annually with inflation without further contribution. Examples of minimum gifts required to establish certain endowments include the following:

Endowment PurposeMinimum Endowment
Scholarship$25,000
Distinguished Professorship$500,000
Faculty Chairs$1,200,000
