The Cooperative Education Program of the WVU College of Engineering and Mineral Resources is a statewide initiative designed to help students obtain meaningful employment (and income) while pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science.

The program is available to any student attending a college or university in West Virginia who is pursuing a degree in any engineering major or in computer science.

Cooperative education provides an opportunity for a student to apply what is learned in the classroom to career-related employment by alternating periods of full-time study with paid full-time employment.

A wide range of companies offer co-ops to our students, and the program is available to all majors in the College

Co-op students work three or four work periods throughout a five-year curriculum.
