May 2008 Commencement

The WVU College of Engineering and Mineral Resources is pleased to invite you to attend our official Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at the WVU Coliseum. The ceremony will be followed by a College-wide reception at the Shell Building behind the Coliseum, to which all graduates and families are invited.

For May 2008 Commencement, the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources will host its own official ceremony, and every graduate will walk across the stage to receive his or her diploma. There will not be a large ceremony for the entire University. Those who are graduating with doctorates will be hooded at the ceremony.

Graduates and their families will be receiving an official letter of invitation to Commencement.

We are looking forward to a memorable day, and we sincerely hope that you and your family will be able to join us. No tickets or reservations are required, and there is ample seating at the Coliseum.

The commencement timeline is as follows:

1:15 p.m. - All degree candidates report to the Red Gate, Coliseum
2:00 p.m. - Commencement Ceremony, Coliseum
3:30 p.m. - College-wide Reception, Shell Building
