The Corporate Affiliates Program (CAP) at the West Virginia University College of Engineering and Mineral Resources provides direct access to our top students, interaction with our expert faculty, and a way for your company to develop a direct relationship with one of our region's top engineering schools.
Benefits for Corporate Affiliates Members
Tier 1 Membership Tier 1 membership requires an annual contribution of $3,000. Tier 1 members receive:- Password-protected access to career web site
- As a CAP member, you will receive password-protected access to our career placement web site, a database-driven website where employers can post internships, co-ops and permanent employment opportunities for our students.
- A link to your company website on our college site
- As a CAP member, we will include your company logo and a link to your web site on our college site.
- Access to alumni network
- CAP members may access the WVU Computer Science and Engineering Alumni network to search for our experienced graduates who are exploring employment opportunities.
- Private interview facilities
- CAP members may use private interview facilities in our on-site Career Resource Center.
- Waived registration fee for Career Fair
- CAP members receive free registration for our Career Fair, which is attended by more than 1,000 WVU engineering and computer science students.
- A four-color poster about your company
- We will create and display a four-color poster about your company to help build your visibility among our students and faculty.
- A liaison assigned to your company.
- We will assign a liaison to work directly with your company in arranging interviews, campus visits, and other services to meet your needs.
- A Day on Campus.
- Your day on campus will be tailored to meet your needs. Opportunities include meetings with students, faculty, and staff; interviews with students; a promotional display about your company in our lobby; and/or visits with key faculty and researchers.

Cooperative Education provides an opportunity for students to apply what they learn in the classroom by alternating periods of full-time study with paid full-time employment. Co-op students work three or four work periods throughout a five-year curriculum.
