Advising

When students come to the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, they
are accepted as either Engineering or General Engineering. Advisors in the Freshman
Engineering Program will advise these students until they have met all the prerequisites
to enter into their specific engineering discipline.
Transfer students who do not meet the prerequisites to enter into their specific engineering
discipline are placed into Engineering and will have a Freshman Engineering advisor as well.
