In the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University, you will find expert faculty, advanced technology, and the guidance and support you need to achieve success in your career and in your life.
Our unique freshman year will help you develop the confidence and skills you need. A common freshman curriculum, including basic courses in math, science, and engineering, will expose you to engineering and to the majors available within the college.
Study labs, tutoring, learning centers, and mentors will provide any extra support you may need. Dedicated freshman advisors are available to help you discuss your courses or any other problems you encounter, with an open door policy.
You also will have the opportunity to engage in research and internships, and to get involved in one or more of the many clubs and organizations in our college.
If you are interested in gaining experience and earning a paycheck while pursuing your degree, check out our Cooperative Education Program.
