Our College has an active and extremely diverse student body, with dozens of student organizations, active honoraries and professional societies from every discipline, and many opportunities for interaction with your peers, with professionals in your field, and our faculty members.

Freshman Engineering

Our Freshman Engineering program provides many opportunities to learn about the various departments and student organizations within them, to help students get involved and engaged with College life early on in their academic careers.

Student Organizations

Engineer Fest, held early in the first year, provides an opportunity for freshmen to meet and get involved with everything from Formula Lightning, a spirited, highly visible, electric-powered, competition series for student teams, to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, to many more. See the links at right for more information about our many student organizations.

Student Projects

Our student get involved with a wide range of hands-on design projects and programs, from Design-Build-Fly, in which students design and build an electric-powered, remote-controlled aircraft, to the Industrial Outreach Program in Mexico, which enables teams of students to work with and learn from practicing engineers in a global setting . . and many, many more. Co-op Program

Want to gain professional and experience and earn a paycheck while earning your degree? Learn more about our Cooperative Education Program, which allows eligible students to apply what they learn in the classroom to career-related employment by alternating periods of full-time study and paid full-time employment. The result? Students gain experience and make important connections for their careers, at the same time as they defray the cost of their education. It's a win-win for sure.
